OK finally got around to it, here's a version of 3.1.2MrJake wrote:Thanks rogerdpack!
Would you have a XP 32-bit build of 3.1.1 stable?
Or is there an easy way to change the helper script to use the latest stable instead of the the latest GIT?
https://sourceforge.net/projects/ffmpeg ... 12-v3.1.2/
Enjoy!

Re: Windows XP Support And Intel QSV
Signing up here to add my own thanks to rogerdpack for providing continuing XP support.
Living reasonably green has always been a personal ambition. Whenever people buy new hardware, factories must churn out more to restock shelves, and old kit goes into landfills. I've always minimized my contributions to this cycle by keeping old PCs alive as long as possible. Distros like Puppy Linux along with hardened or airgapped Windows 2000/XP installs work wonderfully for that purpose. And ffmpeg is impossible to live without on my home LAN's XP-based streaming/file server. So rogerdpack, thank you. Efforts like yours mean less environmental damage and more money saved for things like food and shelter in hard economic times.

Re: Windows XP Support And Intel QSV
So, where are promised Win'XP compatible builds?
All solutions I found in this topic are static builds. But I don't see any need in them.
The only thing I need is shared libraries.
Can I hope that those biulds will appear sooner or later on the site?

Re: Windows XP Support And Intel QSV
This promise to make XP compatible builds from time to time was made in March 2016. I think you better forget about it...
The latest XP compatible shared build can be made by patching rogerdpack's build 3.12 from August 2016. I have uploaded it for you here:

Re: Windows XP Support And Intel QSV
Yes, I would like to send deepest thanks too.
I have been using get_Iplayer (which incorporates ffmpg) for some years with my Windows XP computer, but with the latest build, 3.01, file conversion stopped working and the program opened with error messages like this:
"ffmpeg.exe - Entry Point Not Found Entry point GetNumaNodeProcessorMaskEx could not be located in the dynamic link library".
The programmers no longer support XP and block related topics on their forum, so it was hard to get advice. Nevertheless, after reading suggestions in this forum, I downloaded your latest version of ffmpg for XP and extracted it directly to the C:\Program Files\get_iplayer\utils folder, where it replaced ffmpeg.exe.
Not only does get_Iplayer now download m4a files and convert them perfectly successfully, but I have also found that the conversion process seems to use much less cpu, to the extent that I didn't really believe that it was happening until I saw the mp3 file in the folder and opened it.
Brilliant, well done!

This was an accident on my part. I've reached out to CoRoNe and asked him to repost it.manolito wrote: ↑Mon Apr 15, 2019 8:55 pmThis topic from the post:
