Fading with HEVC x265

Hi!

This command is usable for fading 3 sec at the end of a mp4:

Code: Select all

ffmpeg -i "source.mp4" -filter_complex "[0:v]fade=t=out:st=199:d=3[v]; [0:a]afade=t=out:st=199:d=3[a]" -map "[v]" -map "[a]" "target.mp4"
Target is AVC x264. And this files mostly very big.

But how can I get HEVC x265 in target?
To add

Code: Select all

-f mp4 libx265
doesn't acts anything. What's the right parameter for this goal?

Thanks!

incorrect syntax '-f mp4' is used to select MP4 container not codec - to select codec you need use '-c:v libx265'

Code: Select all

ffmpeg -i "source.mp4" -filter_complex "[0:v]fade=t=out:st=199:d=3[v]; [0:a]afade=t=out:st=199:d=3[a]" -map "[v]" -map "[a]" -c:v libx265 -f mp4 "target.mp4"

Good evening!

Another question: how can I get better sound? Think since I use additional parameter

Code: Select all

-c:v libx265 -f mp4
can hear some clink.
Sorry for this bad english. Hope it can be understood.

Parameter?

Thanks!
