Does FFmpeg support non-latin characters in output info?

Post by danissimo »

I'm using FFmpeg on Windows 10 x64. And when I convert files with cyrillic names, e.g. Image, the filename in output info appears as ASCII symbols: Image. Meanwhile the converted filenames are ok, they are the same as I specified them in the command line. Thus the wrong encoding happens only in output info during a conversion. I tried to change the font of the command prompt but to no avail.
So does FFmpeg support non-latin characters in output info?

You need to switch the command prompt code page to 65001 (UTF-8) by running a command:

Code: Select all

chcp 65001
