Black image when streaming to localhost

Post by lgusner » Thu May 16, 2019 4:06 pm

Hello!

I am trying to stream my desktop (only video, no audio) via H.264 and RTP to my own PC for testing purposes using this command in FFMPEG for Windows (using the Power Shell):

Code: Select all

 .\ffmpeg.exe -f dshow -framerate 30 -i video="screen-capture-recorder" -b:v 1000000 -vcodec libx264 -pix_fmt yuv420p -preset ultrafast -f rtp rtp://127.0.0.1:1234
Video will save just fine when the target is my HDD. But when I try to open the created SDP-file, neither VLC nor Quicktime will show an image (but the stream seems to be running). The file reads:

Code: Select all

v=0
o=- 0 0 IN IP4 127.0.0.1
s=No Name
c=IN IP4 127.0.0.1
t=0 0
a=tool:libavformat 58.27.103
m=video 1234 RTP/AVP 96
b=AS:1000
a=rtpmap:96 H264/90000
a=fmtp:96 packetization-mode=1
What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for all of your answers!

Lorenz
