I am trying to display a preview of what the font size would be on the client side in browser across different devices in a container that isnt representative of the resolution of the video. I have tried many approaches currently and so far, unsuccessfully able to mimic the font scaling being done through ffmpeg -> libass.
Does anyone have any advice on what I could do to get a good representation of the font size on the client end to nearly match on the back-end?
Customer wants font size 20 for their subtitles. We look at the video resolution compared to the container and take into account pixel density, grab the dp of both resolutions and come up with a font scale for display.
we've tried just displaying X font size on the client side and adjust the font size we send ffmpeg. (min font size ffmpeg accepts is 8) no luck.
Running out of options here.
