Filter only background

Post by arthuralbano » Thu Mar 14, 2019 6:07 pm

Hi!
I have a static footage and I am interested in filtering everything that is moving, leaving only the background.

Is there a way to accomplish this? How do I do that?

Your question is not clear to me, you may give a chance to:

https://ffmpeg.org/ffmpeg-filters.html#mpdecimate
https://ffmpeg.org/ffmpeg-filters.html#tmix
https://ffmpeg.org/ffmpeg-filters.html# ... 02c-tblend
https://ffmpeg.org/ffmpeg-filters.html#maskfun

Normally you can perform some calculation on current frame and previous frame - static part will be always same when moving part always different - not sure if you can manage such operations with ffmpeg but in theory it should be possible.
