librsvg support for svg rasterization

Post by olivieretienne » Fri Jan 12, 2018 3:01 pm

Hello Good Folks!!!
I was super exiting when I read : "librsvg support for svg rasterization" in ffmpeg 3.4
but the ----enable-librsvg is not enabled by default.
Another good folk told me
here: https://stackoverflow.com/questions/482 ... terization
that I had to re-compile ffmpeg to enable the svg support.

Does anyone have a version of ffmpeg with --enable-librsvg enable?
I would love to give that a try.
I mean generate an mp4 out of svg input, that would be quite something!

Thanks Good Folks.

librsvg currently depends on glib, libffi, gettext, libxml2, gtk, cairo, and rust. I ran into issues building gettext and gave up.

These are incredibly heavy dependencies to render a svg, so it's unlikely this will be included anytime soon.

Thank you very much for your reply,
I have finally managed to compile it by install Cygwin and the dependencies required including librsvg.
and all listed here:
https://ffmpeg.org/platform.html#Compil ... der-Cygwin
It works just as expected and it is awesome as it generated mpeg4 from SVG files!

Thanks again.
