FFMPEG export file specifications to txt file

Post by Laronski » Thu Nov 28, 2019 5:50 pm

Sorry. I'm new. Please forgive me.

I'm trying to use FFMPEG to read my video files to discover the display ratios (1080p/720p/etc).
Sadly, I'm not understanding the documentation on how to get information out of FFMPEG (to TXT file).

I found this (it works), but it doesn't export the information I'm searching for.

ffmpeg -i INFILE.MP4 -f ffmetadata METAOUT.txt

What do I need to change/add?
Thanks in advance...

What I use is

Code: Select all

ffmpeg.exe -i "VideoIN.mp4" -hide_banner 2> METAOUT.txt
You will end up with something this

Code: Select all

Input #0, mov,mp4,m4a,3gp,3g2,mj2, from 'VideoIN.mp4':
    major_brand : isom
    minor_version : 0
    compatible_brands: isommp42
    encoder : Lavf58.26.101
  Duration: 00:21:29.43, start: 0.000000, bitrate: 667 kb/s
    Stream #0:0(eng): Video: h264 (Main) (avc1 / 0x31637661), yuv420p, 854x480 [SAR 1280:1281 DAR 16:9], 565 kb/s, 24 fps, 24 tbr, 12288 tbn, 48 tbc (default)
    Stream #0:1(eng): Audio: aac (LC) (mp4a / 0x6134706D), 48000 Hz, stereo, fltp, 96 kb/s (default)
At least one output file must be specified
Hoe that helps.
