svn => subversion

Postby rogerdpack » Mon Sep 17, 2012 3:37 pm

Just noticed it today, though I'd point it out.
When starting up the script on a fresh box, it says "missing the following packages: g++ svn bison ..."

But when I do an apt-get install svn it says "not found" (I guess it means subversion?)

Correct, I used to have the script actually print of the command the user should run to install the needed files, but with packages changing a lot on a bunch of different distros I decided to just list the command that was missing. So, svn means that the command/program svn is missing. The user can then do a apt-file search of whatever for /usr/bin/svn and see what package that command/program is located in.

I believe this system allows for the script to work on more distros, because I don't supply outdated package install suggestions.

Please consider implement svn merge command support in Subversion plugin.
