Error on Mingw 2.8.4 build script

Post by cbassdeyfinenow » Mon Dec 19, 2011 7:26 pm

Mingw configure fails on GMP in CentOS 6. I'm sure it is an easy fix, I just don't know what it is.

make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/user/Programs/mingw-64/build/headers'
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/user/Programs/mingw-64/build/headers'
removed `build/config.log'
removed directory: `build'
checking build system type... x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu
checking host system type... x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu
checking for a BSD-compatible install... /usr/bin/install -c
checking whether build environment is sane... yes
...
checking for shared library run path origin... done
checking how to link with libgmp... -lgmp
checking how to link with libgmpxx... -lgmpxx -lgmp
checking for the GMP library version 4.1.3 or above... no
configure: error: Cannot find GMP version 4.1.3 or higher.
GMP is the GNU Multi-Precision library:
see http://www.swox.com/gmp/ for more information.
When compiling the GMP library, do not forget to enable the C++ interface:
add --enable-cxx to the configuration options.

CentOS 6
yum install gmp says:
Setting up Install Process
Package gmp-4.3.1-7.el6.x86_64 already installed and latest version
Nothing to do

I thought that the script built it's own gmp with the gcc...
Any help would be great.

Took Zeranoe's advice and used the script in Ubuntu/Debian.

Built just fine. Don't use Centos is the lesson I suppose.

You would need to pose the config.log so I can see why GCC is not using the GMP that is built with the script.

I will work on getting CentOS supported.
