Use --enable-libebur128 to support loudnorm filter

Post by oihua » Tue Jun 21, 2016 8:40 am

Loudness normalization according to EBU R128 can be very valuable, as it is becoming ever more important for broadcast quality content. However, this filter requires --enable-libebur128 in order to be compiled in. I therefore suggest this be added to the build.

OK FWIW added it to my scripts here:

https://github.com/rdp/ffmpeg-windows-build-helpers

And a binary with it (finally have one I'm not too ashamed to publish LOL)

Thank you rogerdpack for your binary with libebur128 enabled!
That allowed me to try Loudnorm. Very nice.

I was wondering if it is possible to find a slim version of ffmpeg that has only the minimum needed to run Loudnorm on audio files only.
Could you or someone build such??

Of course I can use your posted version but it is quite a big file to embed...
Thanks for your consideration.

libebur128 is now included in FFmpeg without external dependencies https://github.com/FFmpeg/FFmpeg/commit ... 6d4f57392f

You will find this in the latest public builds, or you could build your own FFmpeg without needing to build libebur128.

If anyone wants to test Loudnorm quick and easy, try WinLoud.
At this point in time, I have already written a Command Line Interface wrapper.
Find it here: http://muxson.com/winloud
Comments welcome.

I'm working on a GUI so, stay posted...
