Windows XP Support And Intel QSV
Windows XP Support And Intel QSV
Support for Windows XP has been dropped in the Zeranoe FFmpeg builds.
This decision was made to support the Intel QSV encoder.
I will periodically provide Windows XP builds that do not include Intel QSV.

Re: Windows XP Support And Intel QSV
Hi,
> I will periodically provide Windows XP builds that do not include Intel QSV.
Where exactly, resp. how can one recognize them?
What is the latest current build compatible with Win-XP-32bit?
I downloaded some of the most recent versions previor of the date of the above announcement and always got "the procedure entry point _wfopen_s could not be located in the dynamic link library msvcrt.dll"....
Thanks in advance!

ffmpeg-20160227-git-5156578-win32-static works for me. It would be great to have an updated release.qwertzuiop123 wrote: What is the latest current build compatible with Win-XP-32bit?
Re: Windows XP Support And Intel QSV
Can you please make an XP build for each stable release?
Like 3.0.1, and in the future 3.0.2, 3.0.3, etc.
3.0 is the last stable version to work with XP.

I could say more, but the Original Poster did reply to me. So, odds are the OP will help you IF you need it. As comment, this is SUPPOSED to work on any of the future versions of FFMPEG; to make them WinXP compatible. It would be kind to post a message of THANKS if it solves your problem. The OP did seem to appreciate that.

Re: Windows XP Support And Intel QSV
Hi, i came here to say that just two changes, _wfopen_s and swscanf_s for ffmpeg, ffplay, and ffprobe, make the ejecutables work again in XP (i just tested XP x64)
I chyeck the sourcecode, and is just some code lines, hope XP will be officially supported again
Thanks

Re: Windows XP Support And Intel QSV
OK I have added some theoretically "XP friendly" builds here:
https://sourceforge.net/projects/ffmpeg ... y-07-2016/
they don't have QSV enabled (does anybody want that?)

Thanks rogerdpack!
Would you have a XP 32-bit build of 3.1.1 stable?
Or is there an easy way to change the helper script to use the latest stable instead of the the latest GIT?
