Using ffmpeg with Decklink 4K Extreme on Windows 10

Post by john77 » Mon Jul 18, 2016 4:56 pm

Hello,
I have installed the DeckLink 4K Extreme card in my Windows 10 machine. My goal is to use ffmpeg to capture frames and save them in a file *.avi
I search the web but haven't found anything that works yet. I would appreciate your help.

I use this commmand but I am having a problem.

Code: Select all

ffmpeg -f decklink -i "DeckLink 4K [email protected]" -acodec copy -vcodec copy output.avi
I get the following error:

Code: Select all

What I am doing wrong? I have installed the latest capture card driver.

Please help!

Are you trying to capture your screen as video? Have you seen this: https://trac.ffmpeg.org/wiki/Capture/Desktop
