Problem using concat mp4 files using ffplay

Post by sbrink » Fri Jun 22, 2012 10:37 pm

I have finally figured out how to segment a stream into multiple files and now I'm trying to play those same files (encoded using mpeg4). I have tried a number of different combinations with different results.

1) ffplay concat:out000.mp4|out001.mp4 -fs
This plays both files at the same time in 2 different windows

2) ffplay concat:out000.mp4^|out001.mp4 -fs
This plays only the first video, but the window title (upper left hand corner reads concat:out000.mp4|out001.mp4)

3) ffplay concat:"out000.mp4|out001.mp4" -fs
Same exact result as #2

I've also tried other combinations. Does anyone know if concat works and if so what am I doing wrong?

Many Thanks

I can't get ffplay to actually *exit* after any video. I would ping ffmpeg-users list.
