FFmpeg C# DLL

Post by ifieldsmart » Fri Jun 29, 2018 11:57 am

Im looking to develop a standalone application using C# which can do screen recording + audio of it. I m looking FFMPEG as solution but I got to know there is no DLL or library available for it. Please correct me If Im wrong. I don’t really wanted to include any .exe in my code.

Hi ifieldsmart,

Just download the dev version of the download package available here and read ffmpeg.org doc.

Regards.

Hi Louis,

Im really new here so just help me which right link..https://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/builds/
Second Im a C# developer and wondering if there is something called DLL which I can include and things start working for me...becuase I dont know much about C..or C++ :)

BTW Im building a standalone application which currently can record screen and audio separately ..then I pass that to server where FFMPEG is merging them together and then I send them on S3 .. but since its increasing time and load my server..
So idea: merge them on standalone pc using C# code..and here Im looking at FFMPEG else
Record screen + audio together and send to AWS S3 for further process or access.
Thanks,
Sandesh

Can I suggest you look at https://github.com/Ruslan-B/FFmpeg.AutoGen which provides .NET wrappers for the native DLL files.

You can use the Nuget package https://www.nuget.org/packages/FFmpeg.AutoGen/ quite easily and then download the Shared DLL files from https://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/builds/.
