FFV1 in Adobe Premiere (and documentation on Wiki)

Post by cruelafflux » Tue Oct 04, 2016 8:11 am

Dear users,

I received 10 files with the FFV1-3 codec, and however VLC plays it, it will not import in Adobe Premiere CC. There it says "damaged files".
So i did some basic research through the net and never found and easy "how to" (import in Premiere). Is there a good how to? Or will Premiere not support this codec?

On the wiki of the codec: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FFV1
It says "Premiere"> method: DirectShow[48][49]

Is that the way? Or is this info on wiki outdated? Will Premiere not work with ffv1? I didn't succeed yet.

The [48] and [49] are the reference numbers in the article. One of them points to:

Installing this will likely do the job (I am unable to try it myself now).
