I´m clueless, jv codec...

Post by Noxx »

Hello,

please don´t kill me but I´m absolutely clueless as to what this project is and if this can help me in any way. This is not my world.
The reason I´m here is that I need the codec for .jv files which are only used by the game Z- the videos have sound, but no picture.
googling for "z bitmap brothers jv video codec" led me to this page http://ffmpeg.mplayerhq.hu/general.html which in turn led me here.

Uhm... can you help me solve my problem? :?

Thanks for your patience

Have you tired to convert them with FFmpeg yet?

No, I frankly don´t understand how I would do that and I get the feeling it would take some time to learn that from scratch.
Do you maybe know of a program that can convert the files which is structured like commercial programs for clueless people like me? :oops:

It´s a shame though, there´s another codec on the list I have troubles with(TGQ).

@noxx

Search at Google for "ffmpeg GUI" and you'll get results for programs which acts as a front-end for the ffmpeg command-line program, ala commercial progs....
