How to install FFmpeg to use in Visual Studio 2010

Post by Ascanius »

Hi there,

I want to use FFmpeg to set up an rtsp Stream to send a live camera picture via network with Microsoft Visual Studio 2010. I get the live camera picture via OpenCV and C++. But my problems begin in installing FFmpeg with this http://ffmpeg.org/platform.html#Microso ... _002b_002b documentation. I downloaded and installed the requiered prerequisites. I copy the c99conv.exe, c99wrap.exe and the vsyasm.exe in the D:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Visual Studio 10.0\VC\bin directory. If I run the msys.bat from the Visual Studio command prompt I not sure what to do. If I directly use ./configure I get the error "No such file or directory". I not really know what to do and if you can help me out I would be very happy.

Best regards

(another option is to use dll's and .lib files)
IIRC you need to run msys.bat then cd to a folder that contains ffmpeg's source (including the file named "cofigure") then run the command lines it mentions.
