Re: Starting from scratch

Ramiro, Thank you for your feedback. That is what I was thinking. I am thankful for your confirmation. Do I need to create that file myself? Something like on this page: http://www.wormux.org/phpboost/wiki/print.php?id=28 cat 'PKG_CONFIG_PATH=/opt/mingw-w64-x86_64/lib/pkgconfig pkg-config $*' > /opt...

Re: Starting from scratch

ramiro, I must have misread Zeranoe's instructions. I rarely run as root unless instructed to do so. My years as an admin usually keep me from doing something overtly stupid. I ran chwon -R kevin:kevin * against the directory and still got this error: WARNING: x86_64-w64-mingw32-pkg-config not found...

Re: Starting from scratch

I have no specific need to run or restriction from runing as any given user.

I'll check out your suggestions when I get home.

Thank you for your time on this.

Re: Starting from scratch

I'm not at home right now where my build environment is (otherwise I would post the log) but: which x86_64-w64-ming32-gcc /usr/bin/which: no x86_64-w64-ming32-gcc in (/usr/kerberos/bin:/usr/local/bin:/usr/bin:/bin:/usr/X11R6/bin:/home/kevin/bin:/opt/ffmpeg/mingw-w64-x86_64/bin:/opt/ffmpeg/mingw-w64-...

Starting from scratch

Background: I have previously compiled FFMPEG for Windows using the following method: http://ffmpeg.arrozcru.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1596 I am not a programmer so I have limited experience diagnosing this issue. It will, however, be blatantly obvious to you. Please redirect me to the informati...

Re: Compiling FFMPEG for Windows 64bit

I did some research with some friends of mine. Word on the street is to go with Mediawiki if you haven't already done so.

Re: Compiling FFMPEG for Windows 64bit

I have never maintained a wiki before, but I would be willing to give it a shot. If you don't like what I do I have no ego invested if you decide to go with someone else. My old walk through is on this page: http://ffmpeg.arrozcru.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1596 That method seems to work for at l...

Re: Compiling FFMPEG for Windows 64bit

The error that I was getting was: ERROR: libvpx decoder version must be >=0.9.1 I found the answer here: http://ffmpeg.arrozcru.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1638 The autobuilds here have that: http://ffmpeg.arrozcru.org/autobuilds/logs/2011-01-11-OK My lame automation script for compiling under Ubu...

Re: Compiling FFMPEG for Windows 64bit

Wow. Super fast response. I'm at work right now so I don't have my build environment available at this time. I can get you the full script of what I do later. You've helped me before and I hope to be able to help you if possible.
