Re: Record a service from ts udp multicast

You need to use the "map" option that FFmpeg has to select the specific inputs you want capture. Below are two example command lines, one to capture the audio and video from Program 2140 and another to capture the audio and video from Program 2150. ffmpeg -i udp://224.1.1.1:1234 -map 0:10 -map 0:9 -...

Re: VMAF Filter

Adding libvmaf would be great, but it segment faults right now. https://github.com/Netflix/vmaf/issues/111 This issue has also been reported to the FFmpeg developers who are dependent upon the vmaf developers to resolve the issue on their end. http://trac.ffmpeg.org/ticket/6691#comment:2 Once that i...

Re: Multi bitrate streaming

Your answer can be found over at my blog. https://videoblerg.wordpress.com/2016/08/16/how-to-create-abr-content-with-ffmpeg-in-one-pass/ You do not need the -re option unless you are streaming from a file for pseudo live streaming. The lines in my blog, which I copied and modified below, should fix ...

Re: Profile high444 for libx264

is it possible to change libx264 default profile (profile High, level 3.0) to high444. Yes, I use the following in a script that I wrote: ffmpeg.exe -i inputfile.ext -vsync 1 -vcodec libx264 -threads 0 -b:v bitrate -acodec libfaac -ab audiobitrate -ac 2 -ar 44100 -async 1 -preset veryslow -tune fil...

Re: unrecognized option 'directpred'

True, yeah, if you want to easily stay up to date. I'm surprised you are able to use built-in presets with today's build, though I suppose if you copy them from the distro to %HOMEPATH%/.ffpresets or whatever it is that would work... I'm not using the presets because at least one of them broke with...

Re: unrecognized option 'directpred'

You can use your own "outside of ffmpeg" preset file by specifying -fpre c:\full\path For now, perhaps. Once one variable name is changed in any of the libx264 ffpreset files they will break. Moving to the built in presets works great for me and is encouraged by development because they have been d...

Re: unrecognized option 'directpred'

Does the preset you used have 'directpred' in it? My guess would be that FFmpeg doesn't support that option yet but maybe tried to add it to the preset prematurly? Also see if x264 has it. FFmpeg, when using libx264, no longer supports preset files but instead uses it's own internal presets. Some v...

unrecognized option 'directpred'

My previous build of FFmpeg works awesome. Thank you for your help on that. I did a new build today. When I run this command for generating crop detect in my cygwin environment: /cygdrive/c/Graphics/ffmpeg/ffmpeg.exe -i file.vob -vf "cropdetect=24:4:1" -ss 00:00:00 -t 00:05:00 -vcodec libx264 -r 2 -...

Re: Starting from scratch

I have heard the complete opposite, there might be a small bug, but I've heard it can help with specific libs, such as x264. You can send into the mailing list and see what they say. I believe it helps. I'll look into asking that question. All that I know is that I am doing my x264 with libfaac enc...

Re: Starting from scratch

I now have libx264: ./configure --enable-static --prefix=/opt/ffmpegbuildarea/extralibs --host=x86_64-w64-mingw32 and libfaac: ./configure --enable-static -disable-shared --prefix=/opt/ffmpegbuildarea/extralibs --host=x86_64-w64-mingw32 --with-mp4v2=no Compiled and working as expected with FFMPEG. ....
