Re: Change the color range of a video with the scale video filter

Not sure what are you trying to achieve when you talking about "color range" - are you referring to limited vs full quantization range or to particular color space (like ITU-R BT.601 vs for example ITU-R Bt.709) . I believe that ffmpeg offer few different approaches to control such aspects like quan...

Re: FFMPEG for Broadcast, compatible?

Bellow one worked for Cisco headend quite fine - mentioned errors may suggest that you have performance issues (be sure to run ffmpeg on physical machine, not virtual environment) - your task is definitely real time type and it will not accept any performance limitations, try to not go over 50 - 60%...

Re: Superimposing audio waves on video bottom

At first:
https://trac.ffmpeg.org/wiki/Waveform

Perhaps this will work (sorry had no time to test).

Code: Select all

-filter_complex "[0:v]pad=width=240:height=160+$padbottom:x=0:y=0:color=A9F5A9[vout];[0:a]showwaves=s=240x$padbottom:mode=line[aout];[vout][out]overlay=format=auto:w=0:h=0"

Re: About MPEG2-TTS (Timestamped TS) with FEC

TS is timestamped by definition. What mean FEC ? (FEC in my world means Forward Error Correction and it is related to things that happen in layers higher than ffmpeg area).

Re: Convert .DCE(Drive Cam Video Event File) to AVI using FFMPEG

First and most important question is: are you able to decode any visible video with ffmpeg. My limited experience leading me to impression that most of typical dashcam files are encrypted and you can decode them without knowing encryption method - usually dashcam manufacturer provide own software wh...

Re: yuv420p10le pixel format support using libx265

You should first ask ffmpeg for encoder capabilities for example using command such as:

Code: Select all

ffmpeg -h encoder=libx265 >libx265.txt
if desired colour space is supported it will be listed by encoder if not then perhaps you need to compile own ffmpeg version.

Re: QSV Decoding and QSV Encoding with Live Stream

Then i have no idea - seem you need to search something else or use some python to script condition and if you insist to use qsv for whole processing then perhaps other alternative can be better. Sorry.

Re: QSV Decoding and QSV Encoding with Live Stream

Hmmm... i have idea how you can try to cheat ffmpeg - try generate video (color bars? it will look pro) and overlay on top your video (2 video in, 1 out) - didn't tested but it may work.
