Re: cross-compiling updated cuda filters ?

Ah. This https://docs.nvidia.com/cuda/cuda-compiler-driver-nvcc/index.html says All non-CUDA compilation steps are forwarded to a C++ host compiler that is supported by nvcc, and nvcc translates its options to appropriate host compiler command line options. And this https://docs.nvidia.com/cuda/cuda...

cross-compiling updated cuda filters ?

Hello. This thread http://ffmpeg.org/pipermail/ffmpeg-devel/2019-February/240328.html seems to talk about moving compilation of some CUDA related items to another mechanism, eg some filters. compiling cuda kernels to the ptx format does not introduce any non-free dependencies - the ptx files are an ...

Re: mediainfolib/mediainfo no longer cross-compiles under ubuntu :(

The issue appears to be fixed in the mediainfo git, now.

It was "nearly" related ... building it used the same Ubuntu based cross-compilation scheme as ffmpeg :)

mediainfolib/mediainfo no longer cross-compiles under ubuntu :(

Nearly related to compiling ffmpeg :) ... Due to a recent commit it seems that per https://github.com/MediaArea/MediaInfoLib/issues/1079 mediainfolib/mediainfo no longer cross-compiles under ubuntu :( Clamping to 'tags/v18.12' appears to work until someone posts a fix or a workaround https://github....

Maybe for building under ubuntu, for target native win10 app here https://github.com/DeadSix27/python_cross_compile_script or here https://github.com/rdp/ffmpeg-windows-build-helpers or under win10, for target native win10 app (well maintained, quick responses and bugfixes !) here https://github.com...

Re: new changes in ffmpeg - OpenCL hwcontext implementation

Hmmm. Something changed with OpenCL device numbering in Windows/ffmpeg.

What used to be consistently :1.0 for an nvidia device has now turned into consistently :0.0 (with no warning).

something changed with OpenCL device numbering :(

Until recently, the command below used to consistently report NVIDIA CUDA device as number 1.0 and the other as 0.0 (on multiple computers). Just recently, I noticed that the devices (on multiple computers) had swapped around and remained consistently that way across reboots. Not sure if that was ca...
