Re: ffmpeg/nvenc fails "nvenc API version. Required: 8.2 Found: 8.1"

I reported it in the Nvidia forums but when/if they will fix it I don't know.

Re: ffmpeg/nvenc fails "nvenc API version. Required: 8.2 Found: 8.1"

Yes, I found this too. I'm using jb's suite, and had to build against a slightly earlier version of nv-codec-headers. This has been noted in Nvidia's forum - it seems to me that Nvidia's driver should be reporting 8.2, not 8.1, now that they have released the 8.2 SDK. https://devtalk.nvidia.com/defa...

Re: NVIDIA hardware acceleration enabled

So I figured out a few things in relation to this. Firstly, I think my above comments still stand in relation to the build not having -enable-cuda and the reason why it doesn't. In terms of yadif_cuda nowever, I found that this actually needs "-enable-cuda-sdk", and I discovered the best way to get ...

Re: NVIDIA hardware acceleration enabled

I've downloaded the latest FFmpeg windows build hoping to use the recently added "yadif_cuda" filter, but the filter doesn't seem to exist. The build doesn't seem to include "-enable-cuda" according to the banner, although this thread seems to suggest it was updated to include it...what am I missing...

Re: MingGW-w64 Build Script 3.6.7

I recently updated the script to use the latest versions of all the components, you can find my version here. This built the toolchain without errors on a fresh install of Ubuntu 17.04, although I haven't actually used the built compiler/tools yet. https://www.dropbox.com/s/f3f2r2kr61xa1ct/mingw-w64...

Re: HEVC 10bit encoding with NVENC

Ok, I'm glad to hear that, thankyou for confirming. As of yesterday, my 10-bit NVENC encoding patches are in the official FFmpeg however they rejected the YUV420P10 part of it because it involved some conversion code which needs to be in a different place to where I put it and I don't have the time ...

Re: Another FFmpeg build script

Yeah I may put it up on github soon... In the meantime, here is an updated version which enables nvenc support with the latest SDK 7 and features. https://www.dropbox.com/s/unmlkf1nm3sd3vb/ffmpeg-windows-build-1.0.1?dl=0 Also, I've created a version of my script that builds for Linux. It has the sam...

Re: HEVC 10bit encoding with NVENC

Ok, here you go https://www.dropbox.com/s/ha271otaef9ose4/ffmpeg.zip?dl=0 NVENC HEVC on Pascal natively supports the following 10-bit input pixel formats: P010 YUV444P16 Note that ffmpeg does not currently support converting another pixel format to P010 (i.e. if your input file is something else, th...

Another FFmpeg build script

I recently put together a simple script for cross-building FFmpeg on Windows. This draws from some of the scripts out there already (ffmpeg-windows-build-helpers in particular), from various bits of info in posts around these forums and also takes some inspiration and code from Zeranoe's MinGW-w64 b...

Re: HEVC 10bit encoding with NVENC

I have an ffmpeg build which *should* enable YUV444p and YUV444p10le (i.e. 10-bit) HEVC encoding using the latest Nvidia NVENC SDK if anyone is interested in testing...
