Re: Any explantion why topic: "Making last version of FFmpeg work under XP" was removed ?

As pointed, quite surprised to see that this topic ("Making last version of FFmpeg work under XP") was completely removed from forum - i can imagine some reasons but anyway will be happy to read official statement from form owner/moderator side. This has been discussed here: https://ffmpeg.zeranoe....

Re: Windows XP Support And Intel QSV

This topic from the post: https://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2937#p10037 https://ffmpeg.zeranoe.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=10000#p10000 seems to have disappeared from this forum. Any specific reason? This thread was mostly about the CoRoNe XP-Compatible FFmpeg builds. Is anyone her...

Re: av1 getting worse results than hevc (h265)

ssim and psnr are not a great indication of visual quality. Also note that if you're comparing x265 you need to use the proper tune settings or the results are useless.

Re: Getting "The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b)" error when building FFmpeg with MSYS2

The public builds are cross compiled, so I don't use MSYS.

I'm not familiar with the issue you're seeing and it's not apparent what's going wrong from your steps. I can only recommend you try cross compiling (perhaps using my cross compiler script to build Mingw).

Re: Codec h264_cuvid is not supported

libnpp is nonfree, so it's not possible to include it in a public GPL build.

OpenMPT Support Added

OpenMPT has been added to the Windows builds with version 20181202-c047901. This library is not available for macOS, but both 32-bit and 64-bit Windows builds will now support OpenMPT.

Re: Crash on launch

Nice, note that I provide a build script for MinGW-w64 that can be used alongside the build helpers: https://github.com/Zeranoe/mingw-w64-build All you need to do is build the toolchain, export the path, and not have the build helpers build the toolchain. The toolchain script that's currently includ...

Re: Adding lensfun support

I built gettext, libffi, glib (which was a horrible experience), and finally lensfun .

I ran into a bug running Lensfun though: https://trac.ffmpeg.org/ticket/7358

Hopefully working support will be available soon.

Re: Crash on launch

I haven't tried the latest version yet, but it was a bug present in git head.

I didn't have time to bisect to find the commit, but perhaps I will down the road. I switched to the 5 branch, and that seems to be fine. My build script for Mingw-w64 reflects this too.

Re: Adding lensfun support

Lensfun requires Glib to compile (no idea why). This would likely add a massive size to the binaries.

That being said, I will do some testing and see how much it does add.
