Re: --arch does not seem to work

Unfortunately your script does not help. Probably my question was not clear. I'm trying to build ffmpeg 32 bit on a CentOS 5 64 bit. I tried with --arch=x86 option but make generates then a 64 biy set of libs. Basically I get the same result of --arch=x86_64. FYI, I have already built succesfully a ...

--arch does not seem to work

Dear All, I'm on a CentOS 5 64 bit. I tried to build both 32 and 64 bit versions of ffmpeg 2.4.2 (official archive) but with "file" command on generated *.so I always get: ELF 64-bit LSB shared object, AMD x86-64, version 1 (SYSV), not stripped I noticed that configure shows ARCH= x86 (generic) inde...

Re: build error Win7 VS2012 32/64bit

Solved adding "--disable-dxva2" to configure.

build error Win7 VS2012 32/64bit

Hi All, with ffmpeg 2.4.2 I get the linking error building ffmeg_g.exe: unresolved external symbol GetShellWindow I installed MinGW+MSYS, set c99wrap and yasm in path, copied inittypes in a place reachable by MSVC 2012 compiler. Then in a msys prompt I run: ./configure --toolchain=msvc --disable-deb...

Re: Guide : How to compile ffmpeg under Windows7 and VS2012

Hi, "./configure --prefix=ffmpeg/ --enable-shared --extra-cflags=-I/c/MinGW/include --yasmexe='C:/yasm/yasm-1.2.0-win32.exe' --enable-gpl --cpu=i686 --enable-shared --toolchain=msvc" In my case , it is not working showing error like, c99wrap cl is unable to create an executable file. If c99wrap cl ...

Anyway for a 3rd party library based on LGPL we use I asked directly the author, so, in this case, for sure I didn't it wrong ;)

Re: License in commercial closed sourced program

gambr, it's because you were doing it wrong =) That list has many many items (most actually) that are not related to the LGPL. It even says: "There are also a few items that are not really related to LGPL compliance but are good ideas anyway." Best thing is to read the license yourself... Ramiro, s...

Re: License in commercial closed sourced program

Hi All, I'm a little confused. We already used LGPL libraries in our commercial products but what we had to do was just adding a comment in our About dialog with the link to the official library website. Just that! It seems strange that FFmeg needs such a bunch of things to do (listed here: http://f...

Re: avformat_alloc_output_context2 usage

I think there's simply an error in codec_desc.c file: static const AVCodecDescriptor codec_descriptors[] = { /* video codecs */ { .id = AV_CODEC_ID_MPEG1VIDEO, .type = AVMEDIA_TYPE_VIDEO, .name = "mpeg1video", .long_name = NULL_IF_CONFIG_SMALL("MPEG-1 video"), .props = AV_CODEC_PROP_LOSSY, }, { .id ...
