Re: Intel Quicksync and Nvidia Nvenc Together

Hi, At least you can run 2 different instances of FFmpeg, one for QSV and the other for NVENC. Using only one input for the 2 instances can perhaps limit the performances especially if it is hosted on a harddisk and not an SSD. Cloning the source if it's a file can be interesting if the ratio 'encod...

Re: how to stream a video in h264?

Hi Somereason, UDP is a communication protocol as TCP is but UDP is used for real time things and doesn't proceed integrity controls on the packets. You should get some documentation about all the technologies behind your needs if you want to succeed in your quest. A lot of work ;) Best regards. Louis

Re: App sandbox not enabled

Hi Manickam, Apple developper website FAQ say that about sandboxing : Make sure you have enabled sandboxing on all Mach-O executables included in your application's bundle. Every Mach-O executable must have an entitlements file, and request the com.apple.security.app-sandbox entitlement. This includ...

Re: How to transcode using qsv Quick Sync the right way

James,

True, Intel doesn't speak toso much about qsv as Nvidia speaks about cuvid

I hope you'll find the command that fit well for your use case.

Feel free to post it here to let us know.

Cheers.

Re: How to transcode using qsv Quick Sync the right way

Hi James, FFmpeg doc recommends to use directly a qsv accelerator because you'll have more control and it can only be an easier task because you skip all the translation part. (It's dxva that rely on qsv not the opposite, it actually acts as a kind of intelligent wrapper) But anyway I'm pretty sure ...

Re: How to transcode using qsv Quick Sync the right way

Hi ifThenERROR, if(dxva = qsv) { printf("Breaking news : Microsoft just bought Intel !"); return 1; } dxva refers to Direct X so it cannot be used at the same time with qsv to do the same task (plus some dxva2 commands use Intel QuickSync primitives when available). IF you want to transcode using ha...
