No pkg-config files in -dev builds ?

Postby jbnote » Tue May 15, 2012 1:25 pm

Hello,

First, thanks a lot on the builds for win32 of ffmpeg.
I'm running into an usage issue for which I found no answer on this forum. I'd like to be able to use pkg-config with the windows build (for an autotool setup under mingw32).

It looks like the dev builds of ffmpeg (as available on http://ffmpeg.arrozcru.org/autobuilds/) used to contain the pkg-config files.

They are not included any more.

Is there any rationale for this ? I'm just guessing that these should be included in the -dev builds, therefore allowing zeranoe build users to detect and use ffmpeg through pkg-config.

Thanks a lot for any input on this subject!

Thats a good point, I removed them because I didn't think anyone used them.

I'll add them back in because they can serve a good purpose if you are linking to FFmpeg under a mingw enviroment.
