Loop back and forth through frames

Post by michelbelette » Wed May 17, 2017 6:01 pm

Hello everyone,

I have a set of 10 PNG frames and I'd like to make a .mp4 video that loops back and forth one between those frames.
In other other words, I'm looking for something similar to ImageMagick's patrol cycle.

I thought it would be possible to do it "manually" with concat, but :
1. I think it's ugly :)
2. ... it doesn't work : the video just goes through the ten frames once and stops.

Here's the command I'm using :

Code: Select all

-framerate 10 -i "concat:01.png|02.png|03.png|04.png|05.png|06.png|07.png|08.png|09.png|10.png|09.png|08.png|07.png|06.png|05.png|04.png|03.png|02.png" -pix_fmt yuv420p output.mp4
And here's some info about my ffmpeg install :

Code: Select all

Can anyone help ?

Thanks in advance !
